- CM Builders provides CertainTeed’s and James Hardie’s low maintenance products. FiberCement
is not wood. It is immune from the factors that destroy wood siding. - Wood rots. FiberCement does not rot.
- Wood burns. FiberCement does not burn. It has a Class A (Class 1) flame spread rating.
- Wood decays from salt spray and UV rays. FiberCement is not affected by salt spray or UV rays.
- Insects eat wood. FiberCement is impervious to wood-boring insects.
- Both CertainTeed and James Hardie stand behind their products with a 50-year warranty. Wood
does not come with a warranty.
